Surcharges And How To Avoid Them
An ATM surcharge is a fee some ATM owners charge cardholders of other financial institutions. The decision to surcharge cardholders is an individual decision of each financial institution, and can reach up to $2.50 per transaction.
As a member of IFCU, you have to opportunity to avoid these foreign surcharges when you use an ATM owned by another financial institution. Because IFCU is an Alliance One member, this provides you with FREE access to thousands of ATMs at a variety of different banking organizations in your area and across the country. To avoid these fees, just look for the blue and white Alliance One logo on the ATM you wish to use before completing your transaction.
