Send and receive wire transfers with your Industrial Federal Credit Union account.
Move money around the world, quickly and safely, with a wire transfer. Whether you're making a domestic or international payment, wire transfers can seem complex—but don’t worry. We’ll walk you through everything you need to know to move your money confidently and securely.
Wire transfers are a fast and secure way to move money between financial institutions—whether across town or around the world. They’re often used for time-sensitive payments, like sending a down payment or closing costs to an escrow company when buying a home. While there may be fees involved, wire transfers offer speed, reliability, and peace of mind.
Stay Safe from Wire Transfer Scams
Although wire transfers are secure, scammers sometimes try to exploit them. Once a wire is sent, it’s difficult to reverse—so it’s important to stay alert. Here’s how to protect yourself:
-
Only send money to people or businesses you trust.
-
Be cautious of unsolicited requests through email, phone, or social media.
-
Never share your personal or banking information with unknown sources.
-
Remember: IFCU will never contact you to request personal or account information.
