Setting up and using Fitbit Pay?
Step 1: Getting Started
With your device nearby, open the Fitbit mobile app and go to the Today tab, then tap your profile picture. Tap your device image followed by the Wallet tile.
Step 2: Setting up your card
Select “Fitbit Wallet” and verify your identity before choosing to “add a card” and typing in your credit or debit card information. If this is the first time you’re using Fitbit Pay, you may be prompted to set up a four-digit code for your device.
Make your IFCU credit or debit card your "Default Card".
- In your Fitbit app, go to the Today tab and tap your profile picture.
- Tap your device image, then the Wallet tile.
- Select your IFCU credit or debit card you want to set as the default option.
- Choose Set as Default.
Step 3: Using Fitbit Pay
Select the wallet icon on your device, choose your credit or debit card and hold your wrist near the payment terminal whenever you see the contactless symbol.

How do I use Fitbit Pay?
To get started, add your IFCU credit or debit card to the Wallet section of your Fitbit app.
To pay with your supported Fitbit device (for all customers except those in Australia):
• Tap the wallet icon on your device and select your card.
• If prompted, enter your 4-digit device PIN.
• Once your card appears on screen, hold your wrist near the payment reader to complete your purchase.
Where can I use Fitbit Pay?
You can use Fitbit Pay to make purchases at any store that accepts contactless payments and even to pay for public transport on participating transit systems. To check if a store accepts Fitbit Pay, just look for the contactless symbol below on the payment reader.
Do I need to have my phone nearby to use Fitbit Pay?
Nope! You don’t need to have your phone with you to use Fitbit Pay. Once it’s set up, you can start leaving the phone at home and making payments from your device.
Is Fitbit Pay safe?
Yes, Fitbit Pay is safe and secure. Fitbit Pay uses industry-standard tokenization to help keep each transaction private. They never share your actual card number with merchants or Fitbit and they require that you use a PIN to protect your device.
How do I change the default card to my IFCU card on my Fitbit device?
• In your Fitbit app, go to the Today tab and tap your profile picture.
• Tap your device image, then the Wallet tile.
• Select your IFCU credit or debit card you want to set as the default option.
• Choose Set as Default.
What Fitbit devices have Fitbit Pay?
You can add your IFCU credit or debit card onto the Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa Special Edition, Fitbit Versa 3, Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Charge 4 and Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition. For additional devices, visit the Fitbit Pay website.
