FAQs
What is Samsung Pay?
Samsung Pay is a more secure and easy-to-use mobile payment option accepted at most stores. With multiple layers of security and authentication, Samsung Pay is a great option for when you’re on the go and want to complete a transaction quickly with your Samsung smart device.
How do I use Samsung Pay?
Pay in stores:
Phone: Swipe up from your Samsung smartphone home page or open the Samsung Pay app, tap Pay, and choose the card you’d like to use. Then authenticate using your preferred way to verify your identity. If you have fingerprint security set up, simply place your finger on your phone's fingerprint scanner. Next you’ll hold the back of the phone up to the contactless reader and complete your purchase.
Watch: Press and hold the Back button OR open Samsung Pay on the App screen. Select which card you’d like to use and tap Pay. Then hold your watch over the payment reader to complete your purchase.

Is Samsung Pay Safe?
Samsung Pay has multi-layered security measures to protect your information. It uses Samsung Knox technology, which constantly monitors for signs of attack or vulnerability. Any transaction you attempt to make will require you to verify your identity using your preferred method. On top of all that, each transaction uses a unique, randomized set of numbers called a token instead of your actual card number, so your actual card number is never shared with a merchant.
How do I return a purchase if I used Samsung Pay to make the payment?
Returns made through Samsung Pay are handled the same way as with your physical card–according to the store's policies. If you return an item paid for through Samsung Pay, the store may require you to hover your device over either the card reader or the NFC reader to complete the return.
