Fraud Alert: Scammers Are Impersonating IFCU
It has come to our attention that fraudsters have "spoofed" IFCU's number and calling our members claiming to be from our Fraud Department.
Don’t fall for it. Be especially cautious of unexpected requests for sensitive account information, or the transfers of money in or out of your account by someone who contacted you unexpectedly.
Stop. Take a moment. Verify who you’re communicating with.
If you receive an phone call asking for verification of your personal or account information, DO NOT provide that information. Industrial Federal Credit Union will NEVER request the following personal or account details through email, unsolicited phone calls, or text messages:
- Social Security number
- Account numbers or passwords
- Security questions
- Personal identification number (PIN)
